How to get there

• By Sea: From the Piraeus Hellenic Sea Ways offer a Hydrofoil or Catamaran service that takes between 2,5 and 3 hours depending on how many ports they call at. Bookings can be made at their website, www.hsw.gr. Sea-taxis operate round the clock from Kosta and can be booked in advance.

• By Land:

  Rental car: One can rent a car from Athens International Airport and drive to the port of Kosta. After leaving the airport head towards Attiki Odos. Follow the signs to Elefsina / Korinthos (Corinth) (E94) until they divide into Korinthos and Elefsina, and keep on the left towards Korinthos. This leads to National Road 8 (Athens-Corinth). Stay on route towards Korinthos, then follow the signs to Epidavros. At the Corinth interchange, take the second exit, Exit B under a bridge straight to the Corinth – Epidavros road then turn left, following signs for Epidavros & Spetses. Following the signs to Spetses, reach Kosta after passing by Porto- Heli in about 1.5 hours. From there, there are 2 options to reach Spetses:

  by ferry, which takes about 15 minutes runs 4 times a day.

  by sea-taxi which takes about 8 minutes and is available round the clock.

  As cars are not ususally allowed on the island there are parking facilities at Kosta.

• By Air: Helicopter: From the airport. The journey takes approximately 20 minutes.
